National Scholarly Exchange
The prestigious **ACM India Research Opportunities in Computer Science (ROCS)** program commenced at SRM University-AP on February 21, 2026, assembling over 400 research-driven students, aspiring engineers, and young scholars from all over the country for an inspiring day of scientific discussions.
Organized by the SRM AP ACM Student Chapter, the event provided a highly collaborative platform for young scholars to interact directly with leading national research faculty, explore emerging computer science domains, and understand practical research methodologies.
"Research is an art. Much like dancing or singing, it thrives on structured curiosity, deep foundations, and continuous creation. In establishing our dedicated AI Institute and Quantum Research Centre, SRM AP is committed to showing that research is far more than immediate placements."
— Vice Chancellor Prof. Satish Kumar
The symposium was conducted under the coordinate leadership of Faculty Coordinator Dr Priyanka (Associate Professor & HoD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and Student Coordinator P Vishnu Vardhan. Guests like Vice Chancellor Satish Kumar and Prof. Jayaseelan Murugaiyan graced the event with opening addresses emphasizing interdisciplinary quantum systems and hardware algorithm developments.
The overwhelming student attendance and active question rounds during the keynotes demonstrated a growing appetite for research-driven learning at the university, reaffirming the chapter's commitment to cultivating the next generation of computing researchers.
